On February 14, 2024 – Valentine's Day – the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries organized an exhibition in front of its headquarters, along Norodom Boulevard in Phnom Penh, the objective of which was to contribute to a different approach to celebrating this holiday.
A moment of romance in the West but also increasingly in Asia, this festival has given rise to excesses in Cambodia in recent years due to a sexualized interpretation of it, particularly by young people. The government therefore wanted this day to become a celebration to demonstrate its attachment and gratitude to its loved ones.
This is why the Ministry organized an exhibition of agricultural products, with the aim of interest the general public in Cambodian agricultural quality and safe products and to ensure that these are the bearers of a message of love to family and close friends.
Confirel joined this event alongside 20 other exhibitors and offered its authentic Khmer products for sale to the visitors. Between Kirum infusions with Kampot pepper inflorescences, Mango Rolls Thnot or its range of Jaya spirits, everyone was able to have an original gift idea for a loved one.
This is the second year that the Ministry has organized this exhibition. Given the success of Confirel, the company will certainly be present for a 3rd edition next year.
